Cults Can Be Your Friends . . .

I do believe all religions are cults. Cults are any gathering of people that have beliefs contrary to other groups. For a little enlightenment on some background of commonalities among religions and their beginnings, I would suggest that you watch Zeitgeist, a movie on www.zeitgeistmovie.com. It's pretty darn good, and may even make you think a little . . .

I watched the movie Zeitgeist, and it blew my mind. I had always had suspicions about religion's historic beginnings (not Genesisitically speaking). Now, I'm not one to throw my entire opinion on to the information brought forth in one documentary/conspiracy theory, but through much research on my own, I believe religion is the human attempt to understand things that are beyond modest comprehension. Now we have science--tho' it not always be perfect--to explain and prove stuff to us. We are afraid of death and the unknown, hence the creation of a Supreme Being that makes everything okay.

Wow. What a bunch of propoganda. That is a horrible movie... I am so sorry you take it seriously.

Stacy,

The world is full of propaganda. It is our job to either ignore it, or believe it. Religions are also full of propaganda--how do you think they get people to believe in their way? The movie has some great backing, and as I said in my previous post, I have done research into the topics myself. I am open-minded and often wary of the things people want me to believe, so I do not bank on the movie or anything else I read on the Internet. I guess it's up to each individual to figure out "the truth."
