I'll tell you why he shouldn't embracing the lie-cause-nobody-cares-about-i­t-anyway-and-it-just-might-wor­k bs:

Because in the next campaign, should he win, people will talk about how an honest campaign can actually work. Facts won't be as easily dismissed.

Pundits and bloggers will be able to point to this campaign as a positive example, and maybe encourage it's emulation by others.

Our kids will have the opportunity to see that their elders actually practice what they preach, rather than face disillusionment when they figure out their heros are compromised liars.

Let's give the truth a fighting chance.

What kind of campaign would McCain like/encourage his son or daughter to run? What kind of campaign would his father and grandfather respect?

It is amazing how people such as saysyes here like to believe Obama is an honest person when there is plenty of evidence to the contrary. A few examples:

Claims in 20 years he never heard Rev. Write preach white hate or anti-Americanism. He did.

Claimed he would NEVER disown Rev. Wright or the Trinity Church. He did.

Claimed he barely knew William Ayers. He launched his political career in Ayers' house and worked with Ayers for several years.

Said he would vote NO on the new FISA bill if it contained immunity for the telecoms. He voted YES even though it contained immunity for the telecoms.

Claims he does not support a total ban on handguns. Answered YES when asked this exact question in a questionaire.

Claims he would have voted FOR a federal law requiring medical care for babies that survived a botched late term abortion. He voted against an identicle law while in the IL. senate.

The problem is ALL politicians lie. If you think it matters whether McCain is "elected" or Obama you need to quit drinking the kool-aid and open your eyes. Both of the media chosen candidates will continue to lead this country into a global, socialist one world government. The only differences will be the path we take and how fast we get there.
