This is the way to go after Palin
by tjcerveza

Want Senator Obama to win this election? Stop with all of the juvenile, mean spirited attacks on her family, gender and background, and........

just let her speak to reporters.

What is the difference between George W. Bush and Sarah Palin?

Lipstick.

"What is the difference between George W. Bush and Sarah Palin? Lipstick."

Your highbrow ideas on how to deal w/Palin conveniently overlook how much Palin, herself, has gone on the attack, and how nasty those attacks have been.

Are you so naive as to believe that nothing would be reported on things like Track Palin's drug use and Bristol Palin's pregnancy, if they were the offspring of a Democratic candidate?

It's okay to have the Barracuda lash out? And then become the victim when she's lashed back at? I'm sure the Republicans LOVE that idea. They must - they're playing it to the hilt.

People who support Palin either don't see it - or don't care - or like the fact - that Palin is a lipsticked Bush.

...I love it. Why haven't they done that commercial yet? Obama keeps saying that he's campaigning against McCain, and experts on television keep saying that voters vote for the top of the ticket. That might have been true for every other presidential election ever, but it's not for this one.

Your lipstick line needs to be a nasty (yet not untrue) ad :)

I have personally watched the media onslaught directed at Sarah Palin from the very moment of the announcemnt that she was McCain's pick. This began well before her speech at the convention and there is absolutely no justification for the level of vitriol in the attacks against her. There is an explanation however, and thatis the fear and dread that the Obama spporters felt when they saw that she was a game changer. They obviously beleive that the way to win is to tear her down. This strategy has failed thus far and Obama is coming across like a petty thug. Regardless of the outcome of this race, the Democratic parties moral authority on issues regarding gender equality has been seriously damaged.

BULLSHIT

Please give me one example of "the media onslaught directed at Sarah Palin" that is any different then the treatment Barack Obama recieved. Quotes of his pastor were aired on tv non stop, Fox news had a camera crew in his church 24/7, Fox news inplied that his wife was an angry black woman, and even lied saying it had tapes of her using racial slurs, a simple gesture between them was discussed as being a terrorist sign.

"They obviously beleive that the way to win is to tear her down." Yes, this is funny when used in the defense of a republican candidate who has used lies, deceit, and false statements as her campaign strategy from the begining.

Governor Palin has been treated as a politician running for the second highest office in the country. She was unknown nationaly, and has only had inquiry into her life for a few weeks. Senator Obama has been dealing with the same level of attack for over 18 months.

Drop the fake sob act already.

How so? Because people are questioning whether Sarah Palin is qualified to be vice president? How has she been treated differently than anyone else?

I don't know if Palin is qualified to be president, VP, or dog catcher, but a humorous byproduct of her selection is listening to liberals have to fend of charges of sexism.

This is a trick libs have played to perfection for years. Don't like a conservative pol or position? Deal the race/gender card from the bottom of the deck. I'm not saying there are not racist/sexist pols out there who deserve to be labeled as such. But liberals beat this drum incessantly.

We saw the same dynamic this year in the primary regarding race. Watching Ferrarro spluttering indignantly about being called rascist was priceless.

It is unfair, rediculous, and hilarious. Welcome to the land of double standards liberals!

You mean the land of the Conservatives? Yes, well, it's nice of you to welcome us to your land. Thanks but no thanks.

When you start to bleed for Hillary Clinton's withstanding a barrage of sexism, then you can cry for Sarah, too.

But not before then.
