"The Geezer Brigade" online -- since 1997!
by geezerinch

Good article, but, hey, really ...

I've been getting up at dawn for 11 years now, putting together a damn funny, damn professional "The Nooze of the Day from The Geezer Brigade" E-mail seven days a week for my hundreds of dues-paying members, average age, mine: seventyish.

"Dear Abby" wrote us up back in October, 1997: "If you're wondering what Seniors are doing online ..." and I got interviewed by Barrons in 2001, along with nine other retired Americans, on "What makes for a satisfying retirement?"

My advice, as contained in my self-published book, written specifically in 1998, for members of The Brigade, "1001 Things to DO in Retirement (and how to truly enjoy them)" was "Find something you love to do, and do it every day, no matter what..."

So, I get up at dawn seven days a week, going on 11 years now, and I go online as soon as i've had breakfast and read the paper, and religiously do what I love to do ...

How come you missed us, whippersnappers? What are we, chopped liver?

Just kidding!
