For weeks now officials from the Obama camp have accused the Republican for choosing Palin to win sympathetic votes from women. Doesn't it appear to you that black celebrities support Obama's black candidacy and white democrats do, because they think that they will appear as reciest if they don't?

Blacks see the election of Obama as the first black President is the fulfilment of the King's dream. Martin Luther Kuing's dream was for American Blacks and white to do the right thing. To vote Obama for racial purposes, is an insult to the blood Martin Luther King.

In my opinon, one cannot say that Martin Luther KIng would vote Obama on the merits of his skin color. I doubt that the last Malclm X would either. Those men at the time of their deaths had evolved high above the basic issues of Black and white and were working to find the necessary resolve.

I think that they are happy to see the day when an unqualified black man has won the nomination of a major party, but to say that they would support Obaman because he is black is beyond the question. One cannot be certain as to how any of these leaders would vote, but I am positive that they would welcome the idea as a new America. To vote skin color would defeat the purpose.

Obama has brought nothing new to poliitics other than his skin color in that capacity. His weapon, the message of change is seen as the realization of the new age, but it is his candidacy, that presents the change America. The fact that he can run for that office is enough evidence that he is not the change, but that the change was before him and embraced him.

If he is seeking the votes of African American on the merits of Martin Luther KIng Jr., then he has not understood what king died for. In this era of American politics they should be called to do the right thing. I would like to see a black president, but one who has more under his belt than eloquent, yet rhetoric speeches. One who has a track record of true patriotism.
