Taxes: McCain-lower, Obama-raise taxes
by Archarito

Analyses of the tax plans of McCain and Obama for small business show the Obama plan would raise them by 15% to over 50%, and; the McCain plan would lower small business taxes an average of 10%.

The McCain would stimulate business and according ly pay encourage people to pay their taxes.

The Obama plan would discourage business, drive business underground, make taxes onerous and encourage masssive tax evasion.

You link Grover Norquist? Good God, Archie, you reference Grover Norquist, the "Field Marshal of the Bush tax cuts"?

The Grover Norquist that helped give us a national debt that will never be paid off, one that wil hamstring our children, our grandchildren, and our great grandchildren?

I am not kidding.

Here's what Shrub and Karl Rove think of Norquist:

What Shrum and Rove think of Norquist is not what is relevant to this issue. Archie is correct in that Obama's tax plan will cause small business not to want to grow as there is only higher taxes and less profit to look forward to. We will either see business breaking up into many small business to ensure that they fall under the $250K a year cap or the multinational business will simply shut down their factories and business headquarters here in the United States and move to countries that have a lower or no capitol gains taxes.

If I opened a casino and told every player that came in that I was going to take 66% of every dollar they won, without regard to what it cost them to win it, how long do you think I would stay in business? That is what Obama wants is to take $66 dollars for every hundred in profit a company grossing over $250K makes. Where is the incentive to grow for small business or to stay for big business?

Face the fact that Obama doesn't want you to see: All business have a profit they must make to stay in business and grow. You do something stupid like over tax their profit and they will simply leave the country or increase the cost of their goods to the consumers like you and me to make sure they maintain that profit margin. If they leave the U.S. we lose. Not only the loss of capitol gains taxes but the lost of jobs. If they stay and increase the cost of goods it is not unlike having a indirect tax placed on the people. Or, there is the third option: Leave the U.S. go to where both labor and taxes are cheaper and increase the cost of goods to cover shipping and handling and any tariffs. Any way you look at it under Obama's plan we lose. We want economic growth and in order to have that we need and increase in jobs. That won't happen under Obama's plan. Take a look at Ireland or Dubai. Ireland has 11% total business taxes and their economy is on the rise. Dubai has no business taxes and their economy is on the rise. The Unites States currently has a 35% total business tax and our economy is near the bottom. Think about it. This will cause a cascading effect. Less business=less jobs=less money to spend=less jobs as stores go out of business=loss of revenue for us and the Federal and state governments.

Electing Obama-Change-for the worse.

If Obama is elected and If he is able to impose his taxes on business and people, we will know a new meaning of the words depression and recession.
