909 people voted for Palin

The citizens of Wasilia thought so much of Palin that a whopping 909 people voted for her when she was elected major for the 2nd time. You can look it up on Wikipedia. And the Repulbican party is bragging that this is one of her main qualifications to be next-in-line to a 72 year old cancer survivor to be President ?

McCain has stooped to a new low with this pick for VP. It's nothing more than pandering to the religious right wing of the party that all Repub politicians now have to mollify to get anywhere. Disgusting.

Some high schools in my state are bigger than Wasilla, and they have more voters.

Wow. My local school board members get more votes when they are elected. And they are in charge of more employees and represent more people-- but they don't have nearly so big a budget per capita because unlike Alaska, we don't get NEARLY so many federal funds.

Come on she managed 56 employees as mayor.

Hmmm, I've done that...

Blueshift for VP '08

Something that has bothered me about that number of votes: I've heard them repeat several times that she got more votes running for mayor than Biden did running for president. That seems hard to believe--unless they were all caucus votes, but even then...

Anyone have the facts?

Hahaha...yet another lie

Yes, that's a nice link - but which democratic primary? Biden has run in (and lost) multiple Democratic primaries.
