The Fray: Get out of the sewer; leave her family alone. Or report, even handedly, on every politician's daughter who is an unwed mom. Report on Obama's drug use when Governor Palin's spouse was drunk. Report on how many hours of elected executive experience Palin has over Obama.

Americans: There is, and always has been, a palpable disconnect from the haughty confines of big city America and pretty much everyone else. We are a nation of Wasillas, not Chicagos. Doubtless, this will be overlooked yet again when the post election hand-wringing commences.

Progressives: The left will bet it all against Sarah Palin because they have no other play. It's already over, you just don't know it.
