Both parties are NOT equally hypocritical
by Benslate
This is quite a well-written article, and I like the way Hitchens denounces the demagoguery and religiosity of both sides. However, the Democrats and the Clintons whom Hitchens loves to deride, never associated themselves with the abstinence only, anti-personal choice, sexually repressive policies of the conservative establishment that Palin belongs to. So it's a bit much to compare the sexual misadventures of the two sides. You can't preach purity and abstinence and then get pissed when your own family breaks the rules. Both parties may have their sexual issues, but only one is downright Chaucerian.

no! the democrats want to introduce legislation to force every american to marry a person of the same sex! it must be true, otherwise what would all the fuss be about?

Talk about hitting the nail on the head...

For all his quasi-intellectual ramblings, Hitch boils down to a confused apologist for neo-con hackery.
