What, no "noun, verb 911" put down?
by dee20002
I know the problem, and I watched with a touch of agony as he PRAISED HER, oh, he could hardly stop PRAISING HER on Meet the Press. Personally, I wanted to see a little more Joe Biden ala his famous summary put down of Giuliani (all he says is noun-verb-911). And in fact, when Biden started to get a bit (just a bit) firey at the end of his interview, and directed some of it towards the candidate with breasts, he finally scored some points. So, I fear telling him not to be Joe Biden. Whom do we want him to impress? The right wing brainless masses who already worship at her feet or those independent thinkers who may actually care about the issues but still ponder voting for McCain. (I'm thinking of my father here) For the latter, I tend to think--Biden, go sic' em (or her) (but in a nice way). I've known jury trials where lawyers had to tippy-toe when women "victims" were involved, no matter what the facts. This is not the same. She has no claim to victimhood. .

I agree she has no claim to victimhood, and probably doesn't want to make any such claim, but victim status these days has nothing to do with actual victimization. We have been conditioned by society to believe that all women are victims. No matter what she does, she will be seen as a victim. That does make pose certain difficulties for someone such as Biden, who isn't particularly likable (though I actually think he would be a tolerable president).
