If Obama has half a brain, he'll dump Biden today. Whatever you may say about old Joe, the odds that people will go for him over Palin in the debate or otherwise are slim to none. Obama can't carry the weight alone in what has been a close race.

I'm of two minds about this. I would have been happy to vote for Hillary had she won the democratic ticket.

But the truth is that she would have alienated as many people as she would have brought in. Just as there is a BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) there is a CDS. I have seen it. It's scary. I have a family member who begins to froth at the mouth at the mere mention of Hillary (or Bubba).

Admittedly, I have come to see Hillary as a bit of a divisive figure. She says and does things that I find rather opportunistic and pandering (i.e. He's not a muslim as far as I know; sniper fire).

I have no doubt that Karl Rove and the GOP wanted Hillary to be the top of the ticket. They would have had a much easier time "Swift Boating" her than Obama.

I don't see her costing votes, as long as Obama tops the ticket. Obama needs to do something dramatic to change the dynamics, and do it soon. Otherwise, he's reduced to hoping his opponents falter. Not a good position to be in.
