Mis-representing Brigitte McCain
by dajhilton

Please, if Nina Shen Rastogi feels she has to criticize the McCain's for the way they have handled introducing their daughter to the public, she should at least be accurate in her reporting, and not just single out Brigitte's single appearance, with the entire family, on the last night of the Convention as if that were the full story.

Seen in context -- something that Ms Rastogi appears to wish to avoid -- the final appearance of young Miss McCain was simply a passing reference to her story. It was her appearance, with her sister, and with her sister's father, on Tuesday that was the occasion at which this lovely young lady was actually introduced to those of us who actually watched the convention rather than simply reported on selected portions of it.

Miss McCain was introduced as an individual and came across as a lovely one. She was NOT lumped in together with Rawanda survivors or others whom Ms Rastogi might object to.

"How upsetting, then, that the first time I've seen them really talk about her in a big, public way, it's to trade on her tragic past in order to buff her parents' image."

I have truly come to the realization that the so called Media are just a bunch of potion pushing gang ,as bad as the traveling snake oil salesmen.

Olberman and Mathews just lost their position in fronting the campaign coverage. Gregory is taking over.

I have liked Gregory from his beginning as a white House correspondent. He asks the tough questions of both sides.

If anyone can rebuild the MSNBC image , he can. Scarborough tries to take the middle road too.And Dan Abrams. Those are the three worth watching on MSNBC.
