Palin nothing more than a shell game?
by Loree

Remember the old shell game? Republicans are keeping Palin under wraps in a manner that reminds me of that....now you see her (convention), now you don't, (time since the convention)!

Well, after her interview where she said she didn't know anything about Iraq "I haven't paid any attention", it's easy to see wary they are protecting her from the main stream media. Eventually though, she will have to come up for air.

Won't it be interesting when she does?! I can hardly wait!

To play a "shell game" they had to open a "nut" like you.

Apparently not being a "talking head" on the networks for your Sunday entertainment is not such a bad idea.

Can you take time to read the thread just above yours?

McCain has jumped out in front of Obama according to Gallup and not jus a little bit, this is a 5% change in the past few days.

While the Networks would like you to believe

that they should control the American political process, the McCain campaign understands that the election will be won or lost in the battleground states, not on the NBC Nightly News. As a result, McCain and Palin are concentrating specifically on those voters who will make a difference in the outcome of the election.

While the Networks would love to have Palin appear on their shows to boost their ratings and will try anything to try to make that happen, Palin gave three interviews yesterday to the local media in Colorado and New Mexico in addition to appearing at a political rally in each state - meeting and talking directly to VOTERS rather than the "talking heads".

do you have any links to the enterviews?
by rick014

i can only find postings about the rallies.

appears the readers of the local newspapers and local TV websites are running about 90% against McCain and Palin. do you think those readers are trying to control the American political process?

Palin local interviews
by RCH1

All I have found so far is that she was scheduled to give two morning interviews in Colorado Springs and an afternoon interview in Albuquerque prior to campaign appearances.

It also appears that she will speak with Charles Gibson of ABC News sometime this coming week.

Boy, you are a literal fountain of links to support that absurdity.

Wow, those were some sore head losers that sayed home all day. Read what the people in Colorado Springs did today.

Springs crowd cheers McCain, Palin

COLORADO SPRINGS — In just the second day of campaigning together, Republican Presidential nominee John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, gave a command performance of their convention week speeches to a crowd of more than 10,000 here.

McCain and Palin hit popular notes from their big-stage speeches by promising to rein in government spending, lead America to energy independence and win the war in Iraq.

"There's no place more appropriate than here in Colorado Springs, with all the great service of people from here, to tell you this: We are winning in Iraq," McCain said, drawing some of the biggest cheers of his 15-minute speech.

AND REALLY, THAT WAS JUST ONE SEARCH RESULT.

yet, what is the public saying in thier letters

What a bunch of horseshit...LOL!

McCain and the republicans are holding their hand so tightly over Palin's mouth, which they KNOW would get them in trouble (she is dumb as a post on REAL FEDERAL LEVEL ISSUES), that it is surprising she can breathe.

The media doesn't control anything...the politicians and government do! They Use and ABUSE the media every chance they get...spoon feeding them what they can and cannot print, and giving them just enough 'truth' so the poor media laps it up, lays it out, to make a living.

As a republican, you've got your spin and twist down to a fine art, with little, or any truth to be found in it at all.

You guys are running scared with Palin, and she is too excited about her NEWEST notiriety, to even SEE how they are abusing her, by using her!

Won't she have some stories to tell, when the election is over, and she has gone back to Alaska?!

LOL!

This "dumb as a post" comment coming from a "fresh ploughed and fertile field" Libearl woman. A woman who spent much of her adult life on a dairy farm.

Looney you used to say the neocons controlled the press; well, you've said a lot of things.

LOL - fresh ploughed and fertile field. LOL

A Bobby Kennedy fan?
by MaryAnne
Sincerity," Tom Strawser summed it up. "She's very authentic. I've never been inspired by anyone else like this except Bobby Kennedy."

"It has energized the base," added Patricia Strawser, a naturalized citizen from Colombia who said she became a Republican because she feels it's the party of moral values. "And it shows how bright John McCain is. He knows how the game is played. It is game on now."

Indeed people in the crowd said Palin has brought an enthusiasm level to the McCain campaign that now rivals that of Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama's famously devoted supporters.

"Military moms means what they say," Cathi Judy, 52, of Penrose, whose husband is serving in the Army in Iraq and who has two children serving in the military, said in reference to Palin and her son, who is also in the military.

Radio show host Dan Caplis stirred up the crowd by pointing out several Republican women who hold elected office in the state.

"It just seems funny to hear Barack Obama say that he's for equal opportunity for women," Caplis said. "Tell that to Hillary Clinton."

He then led the crowd in chants of "Palin power!"
