2 pts. is only one basketball shot. -
by TickleBob

Barack Obama's advantage over John McCain has been shrinking since the start of the Republican National Convention, and is now down to just two percentage points -- 47% to 45% -- too close to call. This is according to Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Wednesday through Friday, Sept. 3-5.

Obama had led McCain by as much as eight percentage points in recent days, both during and immediately after the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Those results reflected a convention bounce for Obama of four percentage points in his support among registered voters (from 45% to 49%). It appears that McCain is now enjoying a rebound bounce coming out of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul that is nullifying some of Obama's gains. That depends on where you are standing....one basketball shot can be three points here in AMERICA! Don't know how they do that in MEXICO, where YOU LIVE!

So, if Palin sinks one from the three-point zone, it's all over but burrying Obama???

We weren't talking about free shots,silly....the discussion was about a 'two point' basket...which is a floor shot, in case YOU DON'T KNOW...and I merely pointed out that some floor shots are worth THREE POINTS>

She couldn't MAKE enough 3 pointers. You'd best rely on the old tried and true Diebold rigging of the voting machines, or even fall back on the Supremem court.

That's your problem...you count your chickens before they hatch.. But it makes for a good laugh.

and its a court not the floor.

There is no such thing as a "floor shot" in basketball.

If there were, the free throw would certainly be counted since it's really the only shot routinely shot while standing on the court (not floor).

Who mentioned "free anything"?

Really it's about Obama's miserable 2 point spread. When I can remember vividly that some on this forum were predicting 15 points out of Berlin and 15-20 points out of the DNC Convention. He is a loser, even at his own game.

"in the bag" for years. Just like you did in 2000, 2002, and 2004.

I smell fear.

Interesting how an Obama supporter can actually pretend that counting votes matters. Hillary got 300,000 more popular votes than Obama, but the Democrats manipulated Democracy and now you're stuck with a candidate his own party has labeled "Naive and Inexperienced" for the Presidency. He didn't grow up in Berlin all the sudden.

I don't give a shit what you young shitheads call them...I still call them exactly what they were called when I played basketball.

By the way, I didn't quit plaing basketball until I was in my 30s...I played for a local team in a league where we traveled all over south central Kansas, and across the line, when we invaded the northern Oklahoma 'old ladies' teams, so you can't tell me one damned thing about basketball.

I was playing when women only played a half court..the forwards on one end and the guards on the other end. I suppose you now have a fancy word for 'forwards and guards'.

I was also still playing when the rule about the center line was changed in girl's basketball and we were cut loose to play FULL COURT....which no doubt, you call something else now.

You know what? I don't give a shit what YOU call anything.

My post was to MWG, not to you, and he and I were talking basketball, not politics.

Sorry we lost you, but when you live out of the US, you can easily get lost and out of touch. I fully understand that you have to endure that.

I'll never use a metaphore again. Read this...

Now, forget basketball; why isn't Obama 20 points in front of McCain with Bush on his back?
