How McCain-Palin Can Win
by bygrace
Hey, I have an idea. If John McCain is so fired up to change Washington, he can start by directing the oil companies to stop contributing to his campaign and instead ask them to send each of us a bribe directly, as they do in Alaska. No need for them to spend money on lobbyist middle-men -- just send every American taxpayer a nice, fat check as they do in Alaska. Everybody wins! McCain gets elected, the oil companies get carte blanche to continue running the country, McCain could dump Caribou Barbie and get Joe Lieberman as his VP. We get our checks to go out and 'stimulate' the economy, and we're spared the hypocritical wingnut "narrative' schtick. What do you think?

Just as reasonable as anything else the Republicans have tried.

It would at least be illustrative of the difference between what works for a state with a smaller population than a single congressional district in the lower 48, and a nation of 300 million people. She seems to think everything will just work the same, but I'm guessing the VP job would grate on her like the Alaska Oil Commission position and she'd be wanting to quit in 6 months.
