The problem with returning unwatched movies.
by Persia

When you return a movie, Netflix asks you if you like it. The service is actually a bit pushy about it. "RATE THIS MOVIE!" they demand. Er, no, I'd rather not. Where's my 'I'm a lazy slacker and didn't watch it' button?

Oh, and you will probably like Yojimbo. It's sleek, smart and funny. And relatively short (the record-holder for me was a samurai movie we realized too late was over two hours long, though Jesus Camp is going to beat it if I hold on to it too much longer).

They should add that button to the review page

Then they'll know which movies get rented but go unwatched, which could provide valuable information while alleviating some of the slacker stigma...And the next time Slate wants to write this article, they can compare Slate readers with bigger netflix trends.
