"Working Class" at $250k per year? Bullshit!
by DoctorTom

AT twice the minimum wage it would take a real "working class" person about eight years to make $250,000. I don't think Ms. Palin has any clue what "working class" really is.

Additionally, this arrogant woman lied about her part in the "Bridge to Nowhere" scam, and about her selling the state's jet aircraft on e-Bay.

I wonder what else "Sweet Sarah" is lying about?

Well your buddy Obami thinks so too Tommyboy.....Saddleback remember????? 250,000+ is rich.

So anyone making 249,999 are not.

You ignorant boor! $250,000 per year IS rich!
by DoctorTom

And, Barack Obama was right to say so!

It certainly isn't "working class" as your lovely lady from wherever-it-is Alaska seems to think.

What's the average household income in the United States?

Somehwere around $40,000 per year for a family of four?

Six years to make ALMOST $250,000 at that rate.

Sarah Palin is as ignorantly arrogant as Dick Cheney.

What fucking Ghetto you live in Tommyboy? Still didn't answer...so if 249,999 is not rich...it must be middle class huh.

Your that panicked huh?...Sucks Obami picked a 4 time loser as a running mate. I feel your pain Tommyboy

When Sara gets off what others have written for her what other mistakes will she make.

I think she is a loose cannon and more shoes are going to drop. They practice red neck politics in Alaska and she leads the pack.

You just don't read very well, do you?

Well, that figures doesn't it?

You seem to think you can substitute "middle class" for Ms. Palin's use of "working class" and come out with a draw?

Face it! At TWICE the minimum wage it would take a "working class" person eight years to match Ms. Palin's family's income. The average annual household income in the US is somewhere around $40,000.

Jesus! Are you really so ignorant that you can't see the difference?

I'm not panicked at all. I am somewhat surprised that the republicans did such a poor job of selecting a running mate for a candidate who was already (admittedly) weak on economic issues. If this woman thinks a quarter of a million a year is "working class" she must be smoking crack!

Here are the lower limits of the five household income quintile groups used by the Census Bureau:

Lowest Quintile $0

Second Quintile $18,500

Middle Quintile $34,738

Fourth Quintile $55,331

Highest Quintile $88,030

Top 5% $157,176

Based on this, I'd say working class households are predominantly in the $34.7-55.3 range and that President to Be Obama's definition of "rich" at $250 thou is very reasonable.
