I'm so sick of this "white" thing. Utterly false. If you had watched more than 5 minutes of PBS coverage you would have seen people of many different races (even black...shocking) and ethnicities in the crowd. Many of the delagates I saw interveiwed last night were in fact black, crazy. I watched the Democratic convention, lots of white poeple there too. Most of the speakers at the democratic convention- also white, give it a rest.

Some stations must have focused on minorities if what your saying is true. I watched the CNN live cast and only saw three minorities, (one older black guy in the audience, the hispanic gentleman who is the godfather of one of McCains kids, and one of McCains adopted kids).

There were more minority commentators then I saw in the audience.

Oh, there were like 6 non-white, non-elderly, non-male people in the room, so, OK, I grant, it wasn't literally all white.

GOP = White. Period, full stop. White, white, white. Male, male, male. Yee-haw.

GOP does not = racist, but it does = White. Are there non-white Republicans. Yes. They could hold a convention in a phone booth.

My point was that there are minorities that are republicans. I've even met gay men who are republicans. Trying to paint the whole party as white is just dumb. Besides, what is the point you are trying to make with that statement? The majority of the Democratic party is white too, so they have more non-whites than the Repubs, whats the point? Who the F#@* cares...Yee-haw!

And as far as white goes, Piddle Diddy lives in Alpine, New Jersey with a total of 32 "darkies", less than 2% of the population. He has the audacity to say there are no blacks in Alaska, and no crack heads.

Democrats and Republicans are equally capable of partisan hackery, but to pretend that the last eight years haven't been one enormous exercise in speaking out of both sides of one's mouth is to fool yourself and no one else, save for the previously-converted.

The truth is simple-republicans dont represent minority interests and never have--they are not in favor of programs that help people as they believe you must help yourself (or go through your church). Republicans consider anyone who isnt rich to be lazy (the working poor arent even on their radar). In addition, many of the people were indeed the adopted children of McCain and a token few. Minorities have a hard time with a party that calls them lazy for not being in the good ol boy network and getting the good jobs..... A similar thing was going on with women too. Tavis Smily was all over an interview with Carly Fiorina and he didnt ask her about laying off 35,000 people or her golden parachute.....he was too busy talking about how odd it must be to both a woman and a republican..........
