Short memo to Dickerson

Another 80,000 Americans lost their jobs last month. The unemployment rate has now hit 6.1%. Did we hear anything about them over the past two days? Nope. Just jibberish about small towns and hockey, the left wing press (I dearly wish) and the 1960s. What a way to slect a president.

Agitate, ever consider that these rednecks clinging to their God and Guns might, at some level, choose their misery by choice? Perhaps many would prefer to lose their jobs than to elect a liberal or black guy as president. You can't appreciate a good country music song without economic hardship, now can you?

Good point. But, of course, we will now be accused by the many robotic Republicans lurking here of being smug, Harvard types. You know, like Obama. A guy who was criticized by their uber right wing evangelical saviour for having helped the out of work and for having written two books. That's likely two more than she has read.

Yes! An excellent point. While clowns like Dickerson obsess about McCain's manly image, we bleed off jobs and increase the deficit while widening the gap between rich and poor.

What's the word for that? Oh yes, "tool."

I agree. But I think you're being too charitable about McCain when you describe him as a "tool." He's much worse than that.
Excellent post.

Dickerson trolls for the pugs quite a lot, don't you think?
Re: Excellent post.

Likely because he is one, I suppose. But has to feign the veneer of objectivity. I'm sure he will get his reward - if, miraculously, McCain wins - as a speech writer for his new love, Sarah Palin.

Actually what I meant was Dickerson is the tool
