Palin sued the National Enquirer yet?
by Nick_Danger
Jes' wonderin'.
At this point she doesnt have to
by Sgt_ROCK
You guys have overplayed your hand on her so quickly and in such grand style, nothing that comes out will ever be seen as anything other than an attempt to smear her...and the polls bear that out..Democrats are the only ones buying this BS.....lol

They can't sue (yet) because so far they are just printing what they were told. Some acquaintance has said she had an affair with Todd's business partner and, as a result, Todd severed his relationship with the guy. Like I said, I believe it is an exaggeration and the guy is assuming there was an affair when all the business partner did was hit on her and get shut down. You obviously never lived in a small town before...

so when the guys divorce records show palin was the "other woman", it won't matter at all?

Best fall back on the vicotory via defeat plan "sarge"...

Why do you suppose HE was the only one who got divorced over it? Could it be the cad came on to her and Todd had to set him straight? And then his wife wanted to know why he came home bloody and unemployed?

different than the standards for sliming Palin?

I don't think so.

BTW, her polls are not good.

Could it be?

Divorce isn't looked at lightly by fundys...making an obvious explanation of why the Palin's didn't get one, "assuming" the story to be true.

I await your first absurdist novel as your story telling is getting more unbelievable everyday.

It doesn't pass the logic test:

A) She's very religious so it would be out of character (but not impossible) for her to have had an affair.

B) But in the unlikely event that she did, she wouldn't have been stupid enough to think it wouldn't come out. And the McCain campaign released all the bad news themselves on Monday - but didn't mention this...

Oh, and C) The Enquirer only has a hearsay report (not first hand reporting like they did with Edwards...

A reformer who isn't...a tax cutter who raises taxes...a righteous mother celebrating her teen daughter's pregnancy...

Please, keep working on that novel...

The descent continues...

Considering the haste with which McCain chose Palin, I seriously doubt that McCain's people know "all the bad news" about Palin. I look forward to finding out. It will make his shoot-from-the-hip decision look even more foolish.

Do you think he hasn't asked her about this yet (assuming she didn't put it on her vetting questionaire)? They'd be putting it out themselves to get their spin on it. All they have is a third party hearsay account. My money says it is an exaggeration of a one sided come on...

Re: Could it be?

Oh, I'm sure McCain's people have asked her about it by now. My point is that McCain had plenty of time to choose a running mate, but decided on a surprise choice at the last minute, which didn't leave his people a reasonable amount of time to check her out. Considering that choosing a running mate is essentially your first presidential decision, it doesn't bode well for a McCain presidency that he would decide so hastily on an important decision. I want a President who thinks things through.
