Just keep underestimating Palin, you do so at your peril.

That is part of her appeal - she an underdog, beaten down by the vicious press and rabid liberals, backwoodswoman (hunter, fisherman, etc) type like Andrew Jackson and Teddy Roosevelt, and a female reformer taking on the lobbists.

As long as the bar is low for Palin, she will easily exceed expectations. Everyone expected her to collapse at the RNC - the opposite happened. Just keeping wishing for the press to lay into her at a conference, wishing Biden exposes her, etc.

Guess what she will do well on this campaign.

If you are going to take on Palin, you have to treat her as a serious candidate and deal with her views on the issues.

She's good at what she does, which is essentially to provide lap dances to the GOP eager to get hot and sticky after a dull primary season.

She gets the freeze-dried GOP crowd off, that's for sure. On the other hand, this isn't a difficult task. 35+ year old pictures of McCain everyone has seen 100 times get these geezers to their feet like a vision of the Blessed Virgin.

Let's see if Gov. Cha-Cha can help carry a state McCain wouldn't otherwise carry.
