Guess who spoke at their convention the last several years? Yup the vp pick Sara Palin spoke at the AIP conventions in 2006 and 2008. Her husband, Todd, was a registered AIP member from 1995 to 2002, and the AIP leadership certainly considers her one of their own.

This year she told them "I'm delighted to welcome you to the 2008 Alaska Independence Party Convention. ... Keep up the good work!"

The last five days McCain/Palin have shot themselves in the foot five times with the center and center-right voter because McCain has completely turned his back on their principles and is seen as a hypocrite and a liar. And Obama is reeling them in by refusing to get into the dirt with McCain.

And democrats are as energized as ever that the policies of this crackpot right wing are disastrous for America.
