It has never been about Palin's experience or inexperience...it's about John McCain's hypocrisy. If he honestly believed any of the shit he's been peddling about Obama's inexperience, he would never have nominated Sarah Palin to be VP.

Nobody votes on experience. Certainly not this year. It's been predictably jaw-dropping to watch the punditry wring their hands that "McCain has lost his best argument." Well, if it's not a winning argument, why worry about losing it? They also say it was a "risky" pick.

I am reminded of someone (not an idiotic lib, but an idiotic con) playing blackjack. His main concern, like Obama, was not to bust. The guy never took a card. I asked him why, and he responded "I don't like to take risks". My reaction, unexpressed, was but if the dealer beats you, you still lose.

I would stack Palin's experience up against Obama's any day of the week.

Palin has been the governor of a state. She has taken on selfish interests in her own party and beaten them. She has managed a payroll and a budget and state departments.

Obama has passed out sandwiches and soup for homeless people on the streets of Chicago. He has spent 15 minutes or so in the Senate (actual time he has not been campaigning for president).

It reads as an attack on Palin's character, and Palin's character is entirely beside the point. I realize it's a whack on McCain's ad, but it's too easily misrepresented.

Most of us are simply flabbergasted that McCain had the temerity to do something like this. You know, being an honorable, honest, straight-talker and all.
