Main problem with it was that he looked old and tired and merely spouted ancient Republican talking points. Only the end, where he spoke of his love for country, seemed genuine or meaningful.

And only your side fusses over backdrops. That's really, realaly lame.

Yeah, uh huh. Everyone could clearly see Obama's backdrop wasn't the least bit fussed-over. Yup.

It was what it was, MrTiki. It was intended to look good and show some 'governmental' qualities, create a certain dignfied look. At least I suppose that was the intent. Fussing over backdrops (such as the Republicans' huge, blue screen) seems rather silly to me.

"Vapid?" You were the one who brought up backdrops as if they were important! :)
