Thank you for your opinion, Republican shill.

McCain's no apprentice. After voting with Bush 90% of the time, he should be able to give us all just what we've been used to. You may want to rethink things a bit.

Can you tell me what part of the McCain/Palin platform moved your vote that way? I am a Dem. and thier platform scares me to death. Palin is right of McCain. So I find it hard to believe a Dem would be moved to vote for them. I am not trying to be bitchy, though I can be. I am really curious.

I am also not a McCain fan, but was highly impressed by Palin. She is a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the "political elite" in this country. I have hoped for some time that an average American, someone more like the rest of us, would someday rise in power. She is the first politicain I can remember who comes across as genuine and "just like one of us". I feel like she truly understands the every day issues faced by the average American and can relate to us on a level not even approached by the rest in Washington. I may not agree with every position taken by the McCain/Palin ticket, but they now definitely have my vote.

Monizam: .....This is a crucial time in our history ....

You lost all credibility right there. Which election of the past would you say was not claimed to be "a crucial time in history" "with so much riding on the outcome.." etc. etc. What a phoney fake excuse to switch parties.

If you really were a democrat it would mean your stance on most issues leans toward liberal. You claim you are voting Republican, not because you like McCain, obviously not because Obama is too conservative but because you think the vice presidential candidate seems genuine and honest? What a load of horse puckey. Doesn't pass the smell test. An obvious fake post.

You are hilarious. Anyone with five minutes to pick trough your posts can see you for what you are - one of Limbaugh's faux-Dems, attempting to portray that party as fractured.

Only, every one of these "maybe I will vote for Huckabee/McCain/Palin" posts is exactly the same.

And the name "RightIsRight"? Seriously?

I mean...seriously?

Doesn't pass the smell test.

You are right! A good democrat always votes with the party regardless of the situation. No thought necessary, robotic. I thought you guys were all about critical thinking and non-conformity (nah, i never believed that, but you sure all do).

Re: You're right

So Split-S you're trying to claim that this is a situation SO extraordinary that Democrats, people who, in general, believe in civil rights, the common good, equality, justice and liberty would abandon their party and vote for someone who is their ideological enemy?

Yeah, that's just about the most retarded thing I've read today. Nobody with any convictions at all would do that in this situation. Nobody.

Using the word 'retarded' to describe the opinions of someone you don't agree with says so much about you. Or more accurately, so little.

Democrats, people who, in general, believe in civil rights, the common good, equality, justice and liberty

We all believe in those things! All I'm saying is that we should be proud of those that can think outside the party line. For example, I usually vote Republican, but if Mit Romney was the GOP candidate I'd vote for Obama. I don't agree with most of what Hilliary stood for either, but I'd vote for her over a GOP candidate with weak character.

Voting the party line like a robot and thinking that only your party cares about civil rights, the common good, equality, justice and liberty... now that is retarded.

Why is it that any well-written response from 'a Democrat who found something noble in Palin' must surely be a fake post???

Why is it that anyone who doesn't blindly agree with the Dems on these forums must be fraudulent???

Liberals claim that they support equal rights but the ones on these forums sure don't respect other people's opinions...

Re: You're right

But Republicans don't believe in civil rights, the common good, equality, justice, liberty or the Constitution. Or do they just keep promoting and voting for politicians that don't by mistake? Was the entire Republican platform a typographical error?
