IF Sara was pregnant and after feeling contractions a month premature while carrying a Down's syndrome baby, then she is an IDIOT because:

1. She does not stop her speech and IMMEDIATELY go to a Houston hospital with a neonatal unit to get checked out.

2. She gets on a plane knowing full well that she might give birth on the flight which could force the plane to divert without telling the airline.

3. She does not get off the plane in the Seattle stop over and IMMEDIATELY go to a hospital with a neonatal unit.

4. She gets on another plane knowing full well that she might give birth on the flight which could force the plane to divert without telling the airline.

5. She does not IMMEDIATELY go to a hospital with a neonatal unit in Anchorage when the plane lands.

6. She drives 45 minutes to her local doctor instead of IMMEDIATELY going to her local hospital.

7. She then gives a premature birth at the doctor's office and the baby is then taken to the local hospital.

8. She then returns to work 3 day's later!

IF her daughter Bristol was really the one pregnant then Sara is a LIAR beacuse:

1. Her daughter was not out of school over six months with mono, which is easily cured with antibiotics in less than a month.

2. Her daughter called when Sara was in Houston, and said that she was about to give or had given birth prematurely and her mother better get back to Alaska to commit the FRAUD.

3. Sara could not let any doctor other than her own local doctor see her or the FRAUD would have be exposed hence the not going to the Houston, Seattle, Anchorage or he local hospital.

4. Bristol had to deliver the baby at the local doctor's office and not the hospital or the FRAUD would have been exposed,

5. After the baby was born Sara took it to the local hospital and claimed Trig as her own, which is why she never looked pregnant before the FAKE seven month pregnant announcement, and why she sould return to work just 3 days later, and why her daughter is the one on TV seen holding the baby Trig.

One can be an idiot, or one can be a liar, but it is also possible that one can be an idiotic liar or a lying idiot.

I am willing to bet the farm that Bristal has a "miscarriage" before April 18th 2008 plus nine months or delivers a baby after April 18th 2008 plus nine months!

Nobody has mono for over six months, and nobody leaking amniotic fluid or having contractions with carrying a premature Down's syndrome baby will bypass 4 hospitals to go have the baby delivered at a local doctors office, and then return to work 3 days later, because if anybody believes that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you!

I have typos in my posts all the time. I misspell words all the time, as well. I am not trying to be a grammarian or overly harsh because usually such minor points are trivial in an informal formum like the Fray. I do find this, though, to be an interesting topic worthy of discussion. You have to spell her name right otherwise people might dismiss you out of hand.

McCain's love affair with lobbyists and their clients is no secret. His claim of having a greater value system and that he'd bring integrity back to the RNC is laughable.

His vacations with Keating, his wife's investments with Keating, his relationship with Paxson and interference on their behalf with the FCC means that he can be bought. He points a finger at earmarks and implies that all earmarks are an example of pork, which is incorrect and could even be considered slander. Hillary Clinton put earmarks in the budget to upgrade military housing at Fort Drum. Would McCain like to explain how that is pork barrel spending?

By the way, didn't you just love Cindy McCain's $300k outfit the other night? Her dress was a bargain at $20,000. I'm so glad they are in touch with the common man.

1). A supporter of the Alaskan Independence Party as of 2008.

2). Repeatedly made claims to have said thanks but no thanks, even though she still took all $230 Million in federal pork.

3). Willing to humiliate her daughter to squash a silly rumor.

4). Cut children with special needs funding by 60%.

5). Thinks that we can drill our way to energy independence, even though we have 3% of the worlds reserves but use 25% of the worlds oil.

No an IDIOT is a person who believes that a monther who cares for her unborn child KNOWING that it has Down's Syndrome and is MORE LIKELY to be born with health problems than a normal child, would not go to any of 3 big city hospitals with neonatal units or even the local hospital, but would instead have a PREMATURE child with Down's Syndrome delivered at the local docto's office.

While I agree that the issues are what's important, I have to disagree that her family is off limits. Any politician who uses their family as credentials or onstage props just cut the claim to their privacy. This goes for anybody. How many times did Palin reference herself as a "hockey mom," and talk about her kids and performance as a mom, versus any policy discussion?

She made this about her family. Nobody else.

Let me correct something here. The majority of BABIES are born to women under 30, so that's when most genetically abnormal babies are born, but that is NOT the same thing as saying young women have a higher or the same risk of having a Down's syndrome baby as an older woman.

On the contrary, there is absolutely NO question in medical science that the older the woman is when conceiving a baby, the higher the risk is for having a Down's syndrome child. From the AAFP website: <link>

The incidence of fetal trisomies is directly related to maternal age.7 The risk of having a child with Down syndrome increases in a gradual, linear fashion until about age 30 and increases exponentially thereafter (Figure 1).8 The risk of having a child with Down syndrome is 1/1,300 for a 25-year-old woman; at age 35, the risk increases to 1/365. So you see, the baby is much more likely to be Sarah Palin's, because Sarah is, well, *old* for a new mother.
