Last night's speech nearly brought me to tears

The Republican Party - the party of Olympia Snow, Sandra Day O'Connor, and Christie Whitman - chose this condescending, cranky-sounding woman to spew canned bile on its behalf. And she did it in the tones and cadences of the secretary from Ferris Bueller.

She wasn't even smart enough to avoid the Bridge to Nowhere - which she had already been caught "fudging" about. And her mayoral race getting her more votes than Joe Biden? An easily checked whopper of a lie. (Do the math - her town has less than 10,000 people. If 100% of those people were voting age, and all of them voted, and all of them voted for her, it would still be less than the number of votes Biden got in the primaries - even if we include both of her mayoral races.) And, with your party falling way behind in the electoral count, you dis community organizers?

This is what the Party of Lincoln has become? And this gets good reviews? Is this the current state of our nation?

...so she can tell them whatever crap comes to the top of her head. Makes them feel like they're in church.
No...but not just hate, snark, and lies

I voted for McCain in 2000. I wish that guy were running. He would have run with a Todd or a Snow. You know, Republican mavericks with experience and substance.
Cranky? You Obama fanatics
by Demcon

just can't resist being misogynists can you? First you slammed Hillary with them and now you've selected your next female target for that trash.

You are HELPING to defeat Obama using this methodology . . . and so keep up the good work for Obama. You are doing one heck of a job Brownie.

Misogyny?
by DeaH

So I guess we have to agree with and admire every single woman indiscriminately or we're misogynists? The fact that some women, just like some men, are not worthy of respect makes one a misogynist?

You do realize that your attitude is totally misogynistic - at least in the real world.

She is a horrible candidate. I question her right-wing, conservative, evangelical beliefs, her competence, and her policies. I question her belief in creationism, her obsession with drilling (despite its laughable effect), her banning of books in public libraries, her opposition to abortions for women who are raped, her inability to grasp that global warming is caused by humans, and her equating the disastrous war in Iraq with "God's war."

I am a strong feminist, but I think this woman is dangerous for this country. Stop using feminism as an excuse for electing a second term of fundamentalist Christians with no judgment, intellectual curiosity, academic accomplishments, and whose policies (tax cuts for corporations and the wealth, a deepening deficit, lack of health care policy, belligerent foreign policy) will hurt ALL Americans, including women.
