I think Texvol comes the losest to what I am pointing out with this statement:

That strikes me more as an effort at sensationalism than provocation."
I do not often take a part in William's articles as I see more of the sensationism in his words than the provocation, hence the "Ripley" comment. Unless, of course, he wanders into an area of my experise such as Urban Planning or Economics. With his departure from his old hangout ("Chatterbox?"), I sense a shedding of skin to emerge as something else. I am not so sure it was for the better.
