After all the hoops Michelle Obama had to jump through to show America that she is "one of them", a normal mother and professional woman....it just boggles my mind that more is not being made of the fact that Palin's husband was a member of a political party that supported the secession of Alaska from the United States. Honestly, when Michelle got attacked for the "terrorist fist jab" she gave her husband, how do the Palins get to skate on this scandal? How can the media demand that one political spouse prove she loves this country when another political spouse has taken the official position that his state should leave this country!?!

The double standards all around are incredible. Imagine if Michelle Obama, like Laura Bush, had actually killed someone in a car accident! Or if anyone in the Obama family had a DWI record.

The double standard is one for whites and another for minorities. Face it, this is America the land of Sarah and Todd Palin, white upper income conservative evangelical couple with 17 year old daughter Bristol, who was raised in a loving evangelical christian background, but unfortunately she got pregnant; versus, Leroy and Sadie, middle income Baptists with 17 year old daughter Shaniquewa, who comes from your average black family, but assumed to have been raised with the morals of an alley cat, who got pregnant to get on welfare!
