Obama supporters for McCain?
by Demcon
Susan Estrich warns Obama supporters against continuing these sexist attacks against Governor Palin.

Eh? Susan who? Susan Estrich is the former campaign manager of Democratic candidate Michael Dukakis. Okaaaaaay, so what?

Well she just declared that as many as one third of Hillary voters may very well defect from the Democratic Party due to the blatant sexism displayed by Obama supporters across the Internet regarding Governor Sarah Palin. If this many PUMAs [remember them?] get angry enough at YOU to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket then Obama's White House run will be finished.

So, McCain supporters heartily thank Obama fanatics for their enthusiam in helping the GOP elect McCain. You are doing a heck of a job. No, really you are.

The far left and the followers on these boards have one upped the Republican in smear tactics at a time when people are sick of these kinds of tactics.

Each and every rumor that the Daily Kos puts out is posted with breathless haste. When that lie is proven to be false they just move on to the next.

As well as these tactics I
by Demcon

recall the very methodology utilized by these fanatics to help the national press and the DNC shut down the Hillary Clinton campaign.

"We want a clean campaign without all these personal attacks!" they wailed. But the EXACT same people that called Hillary a race-baiter for even daring to even run a campaign against Obama are now spewing such vile sexist remarks against Palin that it churns the stomach in reaction. It's particularly revolting since these are supposed to be good and decent liberals.

Obama supporters across the Internet are methodically destroying Obama's bid for the presidency with their rage and hate-based attacks on Palin.

So if anyone knows how to win an election, it's her!

Would you say the same thing
by Demcon

in regards to Al Gore's former campaign manager, Donna Brazille, who [along with Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean] arranged to 'give' Obama the nomination against Hillary? I think not.

Susan is just one of millions.18 million to be exact. I was not even a Hillary supporter, but sure am now after the vicious way the MSM and DNC treated her.

I am being told by Republicans that they are offended by the way Hillary was being treated! Can you imagine how they will react to all thses attacks and lies on Palin?

And you wonder why Obama is trying to shut them down?

You will notice the DNS did not put Dean out in front to speak.Terry McAullife was doing he honors on the cable shows.

I had not seen Donna Brazile until yesterday. She was going on about the hurricane.

Even James Carville said he would hate for his parents to take the blame for what he did.And you can bet Jimmy was a rounder in his younger days.

Each side thinks that the other is worse.

Don't beleive everything they tell you on TV, Demcon.

Don't discount everything they
by Demcon

tell you either just because it does not fit into your ideological prejudices.

What she did was to reveal insider knowledge among DNC bigwigs who understand just how shaky the support is for Obama within the Democratic Party. This is why Obama's mild campaign convention bounce has already vanished. That's not supposed to happen.

On the other hand, they're giving Obama a great opportunity to show how above this sort of thing he is. The attack still gets through, Palin is smeared, and Obama comes off smelling like a rose.

I'm not suggesting this is some sort of cynical conspiracy - the hotheads are way too uncontrollable for that - but in a zero-sum presidential race the effect is the same is if it were.

On the other other hand, I don't think anyone on the left has any more standing to complain about "swift boating". This smear job makes the swift boat folks look like altar boys.

Thank God then McCain made this stupid mistake. Sara Palin - I'm still laughing.

Anyone who votes based on the tone of anonymous posters on partisan web sites, rather than on the actual candidate and his or her approach to the issues, is a fool in so many ways it is hard to enumerate them all.
I don't know about altar boys,

but the smear job of Palin by Obama's fanatical core supporters is at least equal to the far right's famous Swift Boating tactics, yes.

But Obama's stern admonition to his fan club, instead of giving Obama deniability, is already boomeranging against him as it seems that he has no influence with his inner core -- because they are continuing to do what he told them not to do -- and for a presidential candidate already perceived to be lacking in meaningful experience, this growing perception is political poison.

I know, I know, that G.W. Bush's deniability ploy delivered with a patented smirk DID WORK for him. But according to Obama's continuing drop in poll numbers, it's not working for Obama. That's not fair, of course, but that's how these things sometimes go. These essentially non-thinking Obama fanatics are progressively [some irony there] sinking his campaign for him.

You don't understand people or

political realities, do you? It doesn't matter what sorts of fool they be, what matters is that it has been established that the non-stop attacks by Obama fanatics against first Hillary and now Palin ARE alienating a huge block of voters.

Look at it this way. You may stand before Mount Vesuvius as a pyroplastic flow of molten lava barrels towards you at a hundred miles per hour, shaking your fist in rage at the injustice of what is about to happen to you property behind you, but a wise person would, instead, alter their current behavior and MOVE.

Same sort of thing. The judgment by you that they are fools DOES NOT alter the fact that these attacks against women candidates ARE resulting in a series of inevitable consequences that currently threaten Obama's chances to gain the presidency.
