weight gain

totally approved this advice. it would have been so easy for Prudie to take the politically correct stance and treat the woman like an innocent victim of her bf's shallowness, rather than pointing out that she's responsible for taking care of her body. 4 sizes in one year for a 23-year old is a huge weight gain--and it's not as if 16 was so skinny to begin with.

It is a lot of weight. But, she'sballooned 2 sizes, not 4. Women's clothing sizes are even numbers only.

Right, I'll remember that the next time I buy my girlfriend her size 11 jeans. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but as far as I know using odd numbers instead of even is just a gimmick. If you look closely next time when you're looking for those 11s, you'll notice that all the odd numbers are a particular brand, probably the more expensive one. The system still skips half the numbers, and 16-20 (or 15-19) is still only two sizes.
