Hitchins, you protest too much. You know full well the context of this spat: the outrageous propaganda that Obama is an elitist. Coming from millionaire McCain with multiple residences, that is truly an insult to the intelligence of all Americans, such as it is.

Elitist has nothing to do with MONEY (even though OBAMA is also a millionaire). it has to do with attitude. Obama has inserted his foot too deep on this issue. everything from his small town folk clinging to their guns to his opponent's followers being ignorant, paints him as such. McCain's WIFE may have a load of money (and it sure has helped him) but he comes across as an everyday man.

That's certainly the image that has been carefully crafted and portrayed in the corporate media. The reality is that McCain has consistently opposed every policy that could have benefitted your "everyday man."
