But she commanded the Nat'l Guard!
by jschrag
On the Sunday morning shows the troops were claiming that she had national security experience due to her "command" of the Alaska Nat'l Guard. What a joke. That has no doubt given her rich experience formulating security strategy against America's myriad enemies. Pretty amazing, for a person who just got her passport last year. Yeah, she really knows a lot about the big world out there.

Jschrag? Are we seriously pretending that Obama has any foreign policy experience? Going to your 'homeland' and sucking up to your family is not foreign experience. I would argue that 2 years as Governor is better than a lifetime in the senate. Especially when compared to Obama's short time in the senate, which included one fake bill meant only to be used so he could say he created one, and a whole lot of missed votes. McCain and Obama both should be disqualified, just for their lousey attendance in the senate.

Unlike Gramps, Obama seems to know the difference between Sunnis and Shi'ites and that Iran is not trying to overthrow their BFFs in Iraq. Obama also had the good judgement to oppose the Iraq misadventure at a time when that was not a popular positon.

Wherever Obama obtained his foreign affairs knowledge, it seems to inform good decision making. Sarah Palin is clueless. Gramps has surrounded himself with delusional neocons, such as Randy Shuneman, who would love to start wars with Iran and Russia.

Claimsadjuster, have you already forgotten that Obama doesn't even know how our allies in the area are? He's made several foreign policy goofs, you just ignored them. McCain sucks too, no argument from me, I think they are both horrible choices.

Just off the top of my head, he's had more experience than she has working across the aisle on nuclear nonproliferation policy, as well as dealing directly with his Russian counterparts on this issue.

Then again, a lot of politicians have more of that kind of experience than Palin, since she has zero. She didn't even get her passport until last year, for crap's sake.

What are these "foreign policy goofs" that you refer to?

You did not address the points made in my post.
