I heard an interview with John McCain on NPR's Morning Edition on August 13th, before Obama released his choice for VP <link>. He angrily answers a question from the interviewer that asked, "...are you going to wait for the senator (Obama) to announce his pick first?" Sen. McCain testily said, "We're not going to be dictated by Sen Obama's schedule, we'll be dictated by our efforts to arrive at the most qualified and best candidate."

Well, now we must ask, was Sarah Palin always a short list choice for VP?...or was Sen McCain waiting to see if Obama picked Hillary Clinton for his VP? Did McCain lie to the American people when asked about his method of choosing the vice president? He could have simply said, "We will be waiting to see who Obama chooses, then we will act accordingly." But he lied instead.

It is well known that Sen McCain lied to his first wife when having an affair with his current wife, Cindy McCain. Is America ready to put a pathological liar into the white house? Listen to the interview and decide for yourself. Sen. McCain is a LIAR, much like GW Bush is a LIAR. If you vote for Sen. McCain, you are running your country into the ground.

Nobody outside of McCain's inner circle can say for sure how and when he finally and completely picked Palin, much less why he did. Your attempt to extrapolate that into evidence of a "lie" reeks of confusion and desperation.

Well, looks like you owe me an apology. It appears that Ms. Palin was not thoroughly vetted, and was a result of the typical shoot-from-the-hip mentality that we've seen over and over with McCain. This is the same thing that caused him to be shot down over Hanoi. He is reckless. If you think he would have chosen Ms. Palin regardless of whether Obama picked Hillary, you are much too naive for politics. Time to grow up, son.
