Does John McCain think of Sara Palin of as a PR stunt?
by gone_fishing

This is what the Anchorage Daily News had to say:

It's stunning that someone with so little national and international experience might be heartbeat away from the presidency.

John McCain has won the front pages for 3 days now... by selecting one of the least qualified persons in the country.

Was it all a publicity stunt?

The VP choice is always a political pick.

The strangest part of his selecting Palin is that everybody is wondering if he picked her for political reasons.

Duh!

Looking at the list he had to pick from he was left little choice but in the end he picked someone who will not help him with the Economy the area in which he said he knows nothing about and will probably determine his fate!

Palin has more national and executive branch experience that Obama.

Palin is also Commander of the Alaska National Guard and is very respected.

Palin has a 80% approval rating.

Obama --- oh yeah, he is on top on the Dem ticket and has Far Less experience than Palin who is not on the top of her ticket. Errrrrr also, I bet you have heard the rumor that Obama is a communist student, dedicated to Africa - not the USA, and a friend of an admitted terrorist bomber. People named Ayers, Rezko, Wright .... check it out for yourself since you are out of the loop on knowledge of your candidate.

Palin 'not ready for top job','stunning...little experience'

Those are the words of the TWO major newspapers in Alaska, not the sympathetic Republican sycophant, like yourself. They are not impressed with her ZERO responsibilities regarding the national guard. Period.

Obama has been preparing for his responsibilities as president for years. Palin is the pretty girl hired to read the sports on TV.

Ask Obama about a matter regarding international relations, and you will get a competent, thoughtful answer. But don't ask Sara Palin! You will find someone who has NEVER studied international relations.

Palin is not a serious contender for VP. She is less qualified than Michael Phelps (meaning no insult to Michael) to the responsibilities of being president.

Financial writer (bet you didn't know that!), law review president, community activist, constitutional law professor, state senator, U.S. Senator, author of congressional ethics legislation, author of international nuclear disarmament legislation, coauthor of the new GI Bill Barack Obama is a genuine intellect.

Sara Palin is shiny like the piece of aluminum foil from gum you just swallowed.

gone_fishing. Perhaps its stunning, but the reality is, two years of experience as Governor beats the hell out of the time that Obama spent in Senate. Governor's actually have a job, unlike the senate where Obama did nothing but vote rarely, and offer one bill. The Governor position requires running the state, which is a microcosm of running the country. Being in the senate is practice for voting at exclusive clubs, on nonsense rules that will pad their own pockets. No I don't think McCain or Obama have any experience worth mentioning when it comes to skills that will help them as President. Both parties picked people with no actual skills that could help them with the job of being President.

wmou, the VP is always chosen for the politics of it. Obama picked an old white male who is a washington insider because he knew it would balance his ticket.
