The bottom line, is that Palin doesn't change what the GOP stands for. In fact she stands for some of the most radical parts of the GOP which are routinely rejected by the majority of americans. The rejection of modern biology and support of creationism. Her extreme stance on abortion. Her unwavering and one sided support for the oil companies ( I guess that comes from getting a lifetime of annual payoffs funded by the oil companies and the federal government, which she in fact increased in her short time in office. that's just not something the rest of us in the lower 48 have experience with. It's easy to be against paying taxes when it's the rest of the country who are paying for your government services, not yourself. It would be nice to get a $2500 per person check every year, and not have to pay taxs. But the fact is, it's the rest of us who made that happy scenario possible for her. )

None of these are mainstream experiences. None of these are mainstream values.

Her laudable willingness to stand up to the corruption in her own party is great, but it doesn't change the fact that her party is riddled with corruption, and that other than that, there is absolutely no other positive change that she offers for the rest of Americans.

Putting lipstick on the pig, doesn't change the fact that it's still a pig. The ticket put forward by the GOP is neither "maverick" or reformist. The GOP needs to reform itself. Not the rest of us.

A) That they GOP simply roll over, vote with the Democrats 100% of the time, and essentially be the Washington Generals of the political world.

B) That all opposition parties except the Democrats be banned, and all registered voters forced to register as Democrats.

C) Item B) plus, all Americans previously registered as Republicans be forced to wear yellow elephant patches on their jackets with the letter 'R" on them whenever in public.

But all rhetoric aside, how long do you guys think that bitching about the GOP as your primary platform is going to carry you politically?

when I look at the other side. While I like Biden, it doesn't change my opinions on Obama's poor judgement with people he associates with nor his light resume on international issues. It also doesn't change the fact that Obama has a radical position on abortion even overlooking infanticide for fear some bills could effect the right to choose.

Did she act on any of that while Governor of Alaska? Just because someone holds a certain viewpoint doesn't automatically mean they will do everything within their power to impose those views on everyone else.

The fact is that my wifes experience with premature live births of fetuses who simply have no chance to survive, and are simply left to expire through the natural course of events, in her neonatal intensive care unit, informs me that it is not infanticide and it's absurdly dishonest to say that it is.

All of these things tell me that you can't be honest in your opposition to Obama. It's sufficient to simply say that you don't agree with him, or don't think he has the right policies, or that you simply don't believe that he has the experience to serve.

I think it's a incomprehensible for an intelligent person to have to resort to demonization and lies, in order to make your point.

Here's the basic facts about science. Theories aren't proven in debates. They are proven, or more reasonably, disproven by running experiments. That's what makes it science.

Teach science in science. Theories with no scientific basis with tested support is not science.

I oppose John McCain's judgement and his wrong experience. I oppose Palin's absurd lack of experience and her radical stances about education, her opposition to science and her extreme position on abortion. I oppose the policies of the GOP which McCain has supported and continues to put forth.
