Palins ex brother in law
by Sgt_ROCK
-1 Reply

was a state trooper, and apparently liked to punch her sister and threaten Sarahs father, drink beer in his patrol car, verbally abuse citizens, and test out his taser gun on his son. Palin told the SLE super to fire him, he refused. She fired the superintendent, which was her discretionary right to do anyway.

Does the left really think they have something here?

...no one said he was a nice guy - what has been alleged...
by Figjam
...is that where Phalin failed was when she used the power of her office to attempt to force someone to fire him. When that individual wouldn't fire him, she fired that individual. I am sorry sgt - but that is simply wrong behavior for someone in public office.
its a nonstory

plus she is being investigated by a legislature she just forced to act right. This won't matter much.

This is a classic right wing post. In America, you are innocent until proven guilty. If your allegations are true, nothing precluded the court system from prosecuting this man. In your world, habeus corpus and courts have no value. You accuse people of something and then you punish them. This is the game they played in Germany when the Gestapo would arrive at your door one fine morning.

its wrong for someone in public office to demand her people to get rid of a bad police officer?
LOL...OK, go with that one

You do know that the Governor is the highest "law enforcement' officer in the state, dont you? Nevermind....you can hold up a drunken, abusive cop as your standard bearer.

I thought Obama doesnt run that kind of a campaign?

Not according to MSNBC
by Sgt_ROCK
They ran it all night, the same talking points over and over and over again....almost like Fray progressives were phoning them in.
In the legal system you are
by Sgt_ROCK
In the workplace, if you get caught drinking on the job and abusing women, you get shit canned.
...sgt - let's be realistic here...
by Figjam
...did she arrest him for spousal abuse? No, he fired someone who wouldn't fire the brother-in-law. You can pretend this is meaningless but it is NOT upholding the law it is revenge...
...there has been no information presented that stated...
by Figjam

...he was a "bad police office". He may have been a no good cowardly woman-abuser but nothing has been said about his job performance.

...so a Governor, who runs a State, should be involved in the management decisions related to low level day-today law enforcement annual reviews? Now that is micro-managing brought down to a new scale...

Certainly a private company can fire someone for any reason they want. I think government jobs require things like evidence. You make the accusations and need to back them up with proof.
LOL...like I said, go with that.
by Sgt_ROCK

Sorry, but theres no trial by jury for government employees who drink on the job either.

LOL...you guys are amazing
by Sgt_ROCK
I could ask you what part of "drinking on the job" and "spousal abuse" you dont understand, and you would act like the question was never asked..........you guys know that Palin is a problem for your chances in November, so you have to smear her. I get it.

In your world, anyone and their dog can go into the mayor's office and accuse him of drinking on the job. He gets fired immediately. Attaboy.
I realize we are all talking past each other here
by Sgt_ROCK
McCain could have picked anyone for his VP, and you would attempt to destroy them, so lets just leave it at that.....
