To The Friends of Nostar
by predicto

Nostar got caught on his bike in a heavy downpour west of Burlington Washington and "Put the bike down." He is hurt badly and is in Harborview Medical Center, dusted off from the scene of the accident yesterday afternoon, about 4:00PM, His beloved step-daughter and enthusiastic First Mate of the Zepheniah and Acting Boson on the Denjim expired in the incident instantaneously and without suffering. She was a bright and cheery 12 year old. Her adopted Grandma, my wife, Mrs Dd and her had that morning been birthday shopping for school clothes, and she was on her way to see Grandma in Everett with Dad before heading back over the hump to their home in Eastern Washington.

They had made the trip many a time before. Now our Little J is Home for sure, forever secure in the arms of Jesus.

Nostar was coherent six hours after the accident when we talked on the phone for a short spell. He remembers nothing of it. His injuries include lacerated liver, bleeding in the skull, broken ribs. At the present he is on the phone with a friend, so I assume he has navigated the day successfully. Many are praying for him.

KOMO News has it that the accident went down when Nostar struck the stopped car in front of him at an intersection throwing the bike with riders aboard into oncoming traffic where a van struck them throwing Little J into the path of another van. We thank the Lord that the end for her was sudden, that it was devoid of extended suffering, that it happened during what she and her dad liked to do best. He called her, affectionately, his shadow. He trained her up in righteousness and she dwells now in the House of the Lord forever.

She certainly put a good measure of delight in this old codger's life.

Pray for NoStar, believing friends.

Say this is not so, Doggie. Please say that our buddy has not lost J, the light of his life. Can you post a phone # and address for that medical center here, please? I will email Denny immediately & am somewhat in shock here. If you get to talk to "NoStarryboy" soon, please give him lots of love & many prayers & thoughts of caring & concern ref. this loss from his "Sis," aka
Tempo. I am just stunned, Dd-man; how can this have happened? But it is good that you told us so we can reach out to our buddy.

Mostly his church, myself and our prayer teams are the only ones I know of on my end. I don't think the Fraysters have been alerted. This is my first post, here and in Poems.

God bless you for caring and helping NoStar's friends know about their buddy in his time of sorrow and physical pain....

He is a good man.

Yes. I will ask him if I can give out the phone # to various Fraysters. He might be out and accessing online soon, I hope. Out of intensive care, anyway.

When she was 6 J asked if I would be her Grandpa. I said, "Sure." Then I told her to stand over by the Rhododendron for a picture. She was real excited to have me for a grandpa. She used to pretend she was a cat. Uncanny character studier, she was. I think Nostar and J and myself had about five overnight plus boat camping trips. She was always helpful and never nagged about being bored. She was a reader and she did puzzles. Bright little lady.

I will miss her, too.

I will, Rat. He will appreciate that.

Maybe smeday we will all get together gain for some Blazzberry Pie and a bottle of Ale aboard the Denjim, again.

Little J's spirit will be aboard. She liked camping with us as we chased the illusive humpies, silvers, cods, crab and shrimp around the sound.

Amen to that, brother.

In my prayers

That's a hard one to take. I am sorry. Prayer, yes, that I can do.
A heartbreaker.

Know that Nostar will get the best there is to have while at Harborview

I was there for several weeks in 1983 when one of mine went down and was saved by the wonderful staff there.

While I was there, a young biker was brought in, badly burned after he skidded his bike. He made it home, too.

Best wishes.

Shocking, heart wrenching news, Dd.

Count me as one of many. He must be in pretty serious condition to be taken to Harborview, no? Skagit's way up here almost.

Here's a link to Komo's story, if anyone is in need.

Now I'm speechless.

Peace & Blessings to you all.
