A Short Brief on Experience
by Stayin'Arrive

You would have voted for Douglas over Lincoln? Because in your (tiny) thoughts, it's really just a matter of tallying experience and then choosing the winner. Right, skippy?

Who has been bitching about experience? Republicans. Which republican has the most experience? George W Bush. has nearly eight years as president. I guess that shoots a hole in the whole experience argument.

If experience is key, cancel the election and anoit Robert Byrd by acclamation.

Legislators make decisions that 1) invariably carry limited personal political risk by virtue of operating in a crowd, and 2) lacking the guts or conviction to vote at all is yet another step away from being even minimal executive material .

At least the legislature writes bills...Governors either sign them or veto them.

A legislator that also has experience working the streets and seeing what is happening in their state and listening to people has a vast more experince then a legislator that has only spent his years in congress supporting his party.

Thank you for clarifying my point....street experience is what makes legislators legislators. Executive experience is what makes executives executives. And only sometimes the twain shall meet.

Thanks Again,
