.. Mondale tried this first, remember?

It didn't work all those years ago, and it will work less even now. Does this remind anyone else of the Harriet Miers nomination? A woman, but not necessarily a good choice for the office?

And what is she doing neglecting her 5 month old special needs child to run a campaign? Trust me, this will NOT play well in the Midwest, where many of us DON"T do 'nannies'--we take care of our own children.

She'll go for the limelight, but she won't make time for the needy child she so blithely brought into this world...

Hey, I want to beat the Republicans too, but...if our campaign strategy is to berate a woman for "neglecting" her baby, count me out.

true, but we can get her on exploiting her son's disability for political gain...

We can count on her to use her son's disability--or if she won't, people like James Dobson of Focus on the Family will, in a heartbeat.

You think it's wrong to jump on her for neglecting her family??? After the jabs that Hillary "The Nutcracker Doll" endured, Palin better be ready for more o' the same. To wit:

"When does she ever see her children, with all the campaigning?"

"She was in the Miss Alaska pageant? What a sellout."

"Alaska? Who cares about Alaska?"

"What does she plan to do about her Minnie Mouse voice?"

"With that hairdo and glasses, she looks like a 1970s secretary from Central Casting."

Kind of like how African Americans are voting

for an African American. Why is it wrong for women to engage in identity politics but not for African Americans?

Its true that Obama's appeal is based largely on identity politics, and not only for African-Americans. I've never heard white boys so proud not to be voting for themselves, as long as they could get the bitch out of the way. And remember how Obama and Biden both had young children when they were first elected to office? I guess it's only the mother's job to put her life on hold for child raisin' midwest style. That said, I will never vote for an anti-choice party that could have just as easily chosen old Mitt as veep. Mormons are a group I hope never get their day in the sun.
