Wow, I hope you don't take this as sexist, but that logic makes no sense whatsoever.
First let me make sure I've got your logic straight. You were set on voting for hillary, presumably because her left leaning policies (particularly on the economy, gun control, health care, and abortion) were more in agreement with your's than barack's. After Hillary lost, you decided to switch to a republican candidate. Compared to Clinton, this candidate has nearly antithetical views towards health care, economy, gun control, marriage, and abortion. Now that a social conservative, who espouses even more conservative views than mccain, has jumped on board, you are even more set to vote for the repub ticket. Furthermore, you describe this domestic conservative as "a nice balance to mccain."
I don't care what policies you actually espouse, but how can you switch from hillary to a mccain/palin ticket? Either you're right of center politically, in which case you should've been supporting mccain from the outset, or you're left of center, in which case you should be supporting the candidate whose views are most in line with yours (i.e. a democrat). Furthermore, how in the nine hells does palin balance out mccain? She's a far more dedicated conservative than he!
The only other alternative is that you voted for hillary because she is a woman, and now you are voting for mccain because a woman is on the ballot. If this is true, then your perception of a balanced repub ticket makes sense as it is balanced in the sense of gender. However, that would be impossible, for then you would be discriminating based on gender, and therefore sexist.
So, please, explain to me what clue you have and think others need to get, because I'm really at a loss to see how your reasoning makes sense without calling you sexist.
