Dickerson on Palin
by RM77

The bias shows. One of the first reactions of the Obama Campaign was that she does not have foreign policy experience, as though Obama does.

I am a Democrat and I do not know whether I want to vote or not. I might sit out the election.

So you would rather have 4 more years of the Bush Administration? Staying at home is a vote for McCain. What is your beef? The republicans have rode the foreign policy horse to death with Obama, so what is the difference? America really has me scratching my head alot!

Compared to 4 years of an unknown

Dickerson is NOT a journalist

He is pure opinion. He and Slate are so partisan it's disgusting.
Although Dickerson sometimes

plays at being non-biased, he HAS to be for Obama in order to keep his job with Slate. Anyone questioning Slate's bias in this race need only note that they have a financial interest in TheRoot ezine that utterly worships all things Obama and Michelle.

And I find that complaint about the lack of HER "foreign experience" about as Mindless a remark as could possibly be made.

Does he not remember that Mac himself has plenty of foreign affairs experience? Does he believe that Mac somehow needed to ADD to his experience in the same way Obama had to ADD Biden just to get ANY foreign affairs experinece on his team?

Does he not realize that of the 4 candidates, Mac's team is now the only team with executive experience? While part of that executive experience was as a small town major plus 20 months as governor, it still far exceeds the experience in that department for the Obama team.

I'd have to say that Mac came out ahead in the overall "experience" department with his choice of Palin.

Obama has more foreign policy experience than Palin. He's been on the foreign relations committee for almost 3 years, which means he has at least dealt with pertinent issues on a national and international level. And do you think that Palin could travel to Europe and handle the statesmanship as competently and professionally as Obama did?

The best I've heard about Palin on foreign relations is that she's had to worry about fishing deals with Russia. That's a joke.

The Republicans now have a ticket with one guy who, judging by his rhetoric, would have us on the verge of war with Russia over Georgia, and another who is a complete question mark. Great choice for dangerous times.

You clearly missed the point......

Palin was not selected for her foreign affairs experience. And comparing O's experience to hers is irrelevant.

What is relevant is that Mac has far more foreign affairs experience than does Obama and it certainly shows in some of the assinine remarks O has made in the past that has led to many of his problems. In foreign affairs, the public still ranks Mac far more preferable than they do Obama.

IMHO Obama is still a question mark. And I would rather have a question mark VP than a question mark Prez.
