McCaim amd Palin will appeal to the religious right and to conservative Catholics.. The Supreme Court will be a major issue that may overshadow the economy and Iraq. Palin will not attract votes from votes from female Hillary voters because she is pro life. What I don't understand is why the Dems have not picked up on the fact that McCain favors embryonic stem cell research. and therefore in vitro fertilization and possible donation or sale of eggs which are necssary for this research. If a fertilized egg is a human being then how can one favor a procedure that freezes a human being and either destroys it or thorws it away. . The argument that frozen eggs would be thrrown away anyway does not answer the objection that in viitro feritlization is intrinsically evil unless every egg is implanted in a uterus and given the chance to develop. What is the difference between a surgical or chemical abortion and throwing away frozen fertilized eggs. The same is true of abortion for rape,or incest.

Rove must be lauughin his butt off because now the Repubs can once again use abortion and the Supremme Court as an issue that trump everything else. I'm from Missouri and I can already see the prolife people jumping up and down with glee.

And Obama is a puppet of NARAL-Planned Parenthood. The study of embryology and prenatal sonograms show the pro-life position is a very logical and scientifically based choice. Not some nutty Jesus-freaks taking orders from a priest. Why shouldn't McCain pick a running mate that appeals to his base? It's won us all but 2 elections since 1976.
