This is a risky pick by McCain. A pro-life conservative woman with what "accomplishments out the wazoo"? I heard PTA member, city council member and 1 1/2 years as Gov. of Alaska? And Obama is an empty suit? You guys are dreaming.

If anything this should take the experience factor right off the table. Not good for McCain. Also, pitting her against Biden in a debate about foriegn policy will not show her best side and if Biden appears to beat up on her they couldn't very well play the gender card, especially if they're trying to show that women are ready for the job. To say nothing of the fact that this is a transparent attempt to go after the PUMAS. Picking this woman is also a slap at all the other powerful women in the GOP how have worked hard all their lives within the party only to see them passed over for a "hockey mom."

I feel like if McCain would have picked someone who I thought was a good choice than I would have admitted as much, so I guess I'm wondering who you didn't like if she was so great. What McCain might have (hypothetically) gained among women will be more than made up for by older men who are terrified when thinking of Palin being behind the button.
