FrayLib cracks me up
by Shelia_B

Obama has 2 years experience in the Senate, but is qualified to be President. Sara Palin has 2 years experience as Governor of Alaska, but she's a "neophyte" and not ready to be VP.

One wonders just how much of a problem Democrats HAVE with women, when they won't put one on their ticket and flip out when Republicans put one on theirs?

She was also a mayor and on the Oil Commission Board in Alaska that she resigned from because of illegal activities by then Gov. She then ousted him and won the Governorship and has had 90% approval

Here's a hint...

It's not the resume'. It's the person.

Glad you like the pick. I like it too :)

Actually, still researching the pick

So far I like what I see, but I need her position on immigration, which I'm still looking for. Shame on me, but I'm way underinformed about Sarah Palin - or I was til about an hour ago

Actually, Obama has been in the US Senate for almost 4 years, not 2.

Dunno what it is about you Pugs that you can't get the simplest facts right.

Senator Obama has years of experience in the Legislature of a major state and in Chicago politics. Gov. Palin has nothing lik that level of experience. Gov. Palin is younger and has only her experience as a small-town council member prefvious to being elected Governor.

And we're comparing her to Senator Biden, not to Sen. Obama, if you come right down to it.

I agree that the Dems shouldn't play this up too much, if we're talking strategy, but the subject will come up. Especially when she debates Sen. Biden.

Almost 4 years, really?

Elected January, 2005. Hasn't seen the inside of the Senate Chamber in almost a year because he's been campaigning for President.

How does that add up to almost 4 years?

You seem reasonable, so can I offer you a tip?

Being involved in Chicago politics is not a ringing endorsement of anyone.

He was actually elected in November 2004. He took office in January 2005, almost 4 years ago. And, unlike Grandpa. He has cast votes in the Senate throughout the campaign.

Pugs: Facts, shmacts. Vote Pug!

Let's just say Chicago has a lot more people than Moosejaw, Nome and Juneau put together, OK?
As far as scandal, Alaska is just as bad.

Almost every politician they have seems to be crooked.
Since the McCaniacs have been playing
by Nick_Danger
up Obama's purported lack of experience, why do you think it would be harmful to play up the fact that McCain has chosen an under-experienced person to replace in the (likely) scenario that he'll be dead shortly?

It's just their usual application of leftie double-standards (the only standards they have). Nothing new there. The DemocRats must be feeling pretty blindsided right about now re: McCain picking a woman running mate.... they never saw it coming. I think most of them expected him to pick someone like Romney or Ridge.

The fact that she's a woman is just icing on the Rep cake. Most importantly, she's a solid, Pro-Life conservative.... and choosing her should help McCain shore up (regain) the support of most of the conservative base that he had lost (and rightly so) by pissing them off.

But yeah....it really must stick in the craw of the average leftie/Dem. And all the hypocritical attacks against Palin are hilarious... considering how loudly the lefties squealed whenever Hillary, a delicate flower of womanhood [snicker], was attacked by Reps.

Well, no, but neither does painting yourself as a 'reformer' when you've been involved in a major American political scandal, does it? :)

I'd imagine it prepares you for tough political fights, and that seems to me useful to a President. But if your'e saying that politics is dirty, I"d agree, Shelia.

Lying is so unattractive on you

Obama's voting record. Please pay close attention to the column all the way on the right, and count the number of times it says "Not Voting"
