Hotel Rwanda and Heroes DVDs
by tubbs

They just sat there staring at me for days, then weeks, and for Rwanda months.

I felt like I really should watch Hotel Rwanda. i love Don Cheadle. I even saw that movie "Talk to Me" in the theater.

But after watching a few minutes of Rwanda I was slightly bored and very depressed. I'm sorry, but there's plenty of suffering on the news. It's hard for me to get it up to watch it in my free time.

Heroes was o.k. but didn't live up to the hype at all.

I completely understand the Hotel Rwanda dread. Seems like it's pretty widespread. I wouldn't have watched it if I hadn't headed to the theater to see it. On a date. !

I'm sucked into Heroes, and we're plowing through the DVDs at warp speed. If you have the last disc of the first season, I'd certainly appreciate it if you returned it :)

You watched Hotel Rwanda on a date?

That's intense.

I'm surprised Hotel Rwanda made it twice on a posting. I liked the movie. There really was a feel good element -- a real life good guy played by Don Cheadle savings lifes and making the most of a bad situation --- that of course being the genocide in Rwanda.

Some friends have recommended going back and trying Hotel Rwanda, but I don't see it happening.

We did watch the Last King of Scotland, though. Excellent. Also depressing, but it had a thriller element to it, so it was hard to press stop on the DVD player.

We've returned all outstanding Heroes discs, so the tubbs' are not the ones holding up the show : )
