The looney left is still talking down the economy, Bush and everything but the war which was their main gripe for the last 7 years! :) Michael is still quoting facts and figures that no one cares to look up and refute, Loree is still blaming conservatives for origional sin:) and this reminds me of a soap opera, after years of absence I can still carry the plot line! :)

Meanwhile we have the choice for the next president between an empty suit and a Republican in name only who was out of money and had fired his staff only to become the chosen one of the republican party! :) Kinda makes you wonder who put in the big fix don't it?

You can count me now as Independent .disliked and already blamed if the Dems lose.

As to who messed up your party,I think it may have to do with the shabby way the Republicans treated him in 2000. Guilt,maybe? You can correct me if I am wrong.

I'll bet that if Democrats get a big enough hold on Congress, you will be sick when you see how many of the Obama promises (to the people of this country) DO bear fruit!

The only promises that Bush made happen were the ones he made on the sly to his big wig rich and elite friends and the oil companies! He hasn't done a cotton pickin' thing for the masses of people who pay taxes in this country, promised them all kinds of things, then never gave it another thought.

All politicians do that...it's one of the 'rules of the political game'....so it's no surprise at all to hear Obama playing the game the same way. The surprise will come with the materialization of some of those promises, should he become president.

I quote facts and figures and very often link to the source, so that it would only take two or three minutes to confirm or refute what I said. I think the reason you don't see people refuting isn't just natural laziness, but the fact that on the occassions when people do double-check, they find out I'm right.
