John Dickerson correctly noted that Hillary's speech featured a litany of HER policy positions - not Obama positions or party positions, but HER positions, the ones us Dems could have seen championed in the next administration if only we had had the good sense to make her our nominee. As Dickerson said, it was all about her. As usual.
Hillary volunteered that she has been friends w/ John McCain for a long time and that she personally respects his service. Faint praise, perhaps, but I did not hear her say anything even that nice about anything she likes or respects about Obama.
Dickerson said Hillary pivoted after presenting her long list of reasons we should have voted for her in the primaries. Maybe, slightly, but too little and too late. The main message I got was that we will be getting second best if we vote for Obama, and that it will be completely understandable (and acceptable) if we choose not to cast that vote. Not close to being what she could or should have said to unify the party. No kudos from me.
