Dahlia Lithwick

I guess Dahlia Lithwick is auditioning for Maureen Dowd's job. The ugly stereotyping of older women in literature is hardly a reason to make a reverse sexist attack on older women for having a particular view that Lithwick doesn't understand. Guess what Dahlia? You don't need to understand it. But you need to stop bashing older women. You'll be one to some day sooner than you know, and some snotty younger woman may let you know that despite your hard-earned wisdom, you are a harridan because you don't look young. It's one thing to disagree----it's another thing to name call and stereotype. Didn't your parents bring you up to be a little more enlightened? That, Dahlia, is sexism of the worst kind. You're a good and thoughtful writer, but you are a rabid sexist. Come on----you can do better than that!!!! One of Hillary's Harridans

If there is little or no evidence of the PUMA's numbers being big enough to have any effect, why is everyone talking about them so much? Doesn't Slate count as "the media"?

What is the point of portraying any female who voted for Clinton as an idiotic, self-loathing dream destroyer?

Most polls have shown that the majority of Clinton supporters will vote for Obama, whether he puts her on the ticket or not.

All the continued Hillary/ Hillary supporter bashing does is deflate enthusiasm for Obama.

Most of these folk will vote for Obama. Whether or not they campaign, raise money, make phone calls, put a yard sign out depends on the Obama supporters making them feel welcome, part of the team.

I know some will say, "the hell with them" we don't need them and get ready to blame them if November doesn't go their way.

I think that is a mistake and no way to continue a campaign based on inclusion, change and hope.

Please post a link to a poll that says that, atlanticmo. That is contrary to my understanding and I'd like to see your evidence.

I am sure these #s will increase since this was pre-convention.

I actually read your post way too fast and thought you said "will not vote for Obama." I've become conditioned to smack-talking PUMAs. I apologize for lumping you in.

Thank you for un-lumping me.

I've been thrown in that pile before.

Least I can do. If I was mistaken for a PUMA, I would spend the rest of my life trying to clear my name.
