How can someone want McCain if they can't have Hilary?
by Joolsmum
I don't understand the logic of wanting ANYONE but Obama if they can't have Hilary. She condemned the administration of the past 4 years, how can they want more of the same or possibly even worse for this country if they can't have her? That defies logic. Obama represents many things and is an imperfect being, but he certainly doesn't seem to be someone who will: ensure that our standing in the world continues to diminish; that we'll enter into war actions at the drop of the hat; that the rich will continue to prosper on top of our backs; that healthcare will continue to be denied and diminished... and that we can all just "eat cake" while he commutes to one of his seven houses. It defies sanity and logic to think that McCain, Let Them Eat Cake McCain, is preferable to Obama if you were ever a Hilary supporter to begin with. The trajectory from Hilary to McCain should be wobblier than that, or her voters didn't care about our country in the first place.

Dear Sir,

Have you any idea what you talk about? Why do we care what the rest of the world thinks about us?

When this country was founded nobody except maybe the French would even talk to us. We not founded to help out the world, we were founded to help out the people that wanted to escape from the old world into the new one.

We have no reasons to think that a we should listen to a French/German ?English on who should be our next president.

People wanted Hilary because they knew her and they trusted her, nobody knows Obama and few trust him.

Moving from Hilary to McCain makes sense as neither one is controlled by there paty, Obama is a Chicago elected candidate, that means he is the parties person, same as Bush was.

Bush was controlled by the party for the party, and so will Obama, unless he is ruely that person we all hope he is not.

God Bless You

Obama is a radical liberal whereas
by Demcon

McCain is a moderate disguised as a conservative.

But here's the deal with PUMAs -- all nine million of them and growing. Some are going to vote for McCain and some are going to write in Hillary's name and some are going to vote for Nader and some are going to vote for Mickey Mouse and some are just going to stay home on elections day but NONE of them are going to reward the DNC for rigging the nomination process for Obama.

The PUMAs are going to prevent Obama from gaining the presidency. Enjoy.

Re: Obama is a radical liberal whereas
by EarlyBird

How was it "rigged" for Obama? The DNC set up its rules and every one played by the same rules, including lil' Hillary.

It was only when she was losing that she claimed that there had been something fishy about the rules, the very ones she was fine with until she began losing.

As a Republican who is going to vote for Obama, and someone who loathes all things Clinton, the only silver lining to a McCain win, which is perceived to be the result of the Hillarians, is that it would so damage the Clintons with the Democrats.

Mark_RSM,

We care what the rest of the world thinks about us because, even if our current president hadn't demolished our moral standing, our economic standing, and our political standing, we would still need the support of other countries to pursue our interests in the 21st century.

McCain may not be controlled by his "paty" but he has an odd habit of speaking out for the causes his lobbyist advisers suggest on behalf of their other clients. And whether he's controlled by his party is beside the point to anyone that believes in freedom of choice, universal health care, and a less belligerent foreign policy stance. McCain is opposed to all of these things, so it matters little to many whether he answers to the RNC.

You should read the ignorant, incoherent garbage that you write before posting, in order to spare yourself from being exposed as a complete moron.

posters point out to you precisely how and when it was done and you called them liars and mocked them EarlyBird. So now the political process plays out again and it's your turn to see your dreams go down in flames. I hope you enjoy the taste of defeat as much as we did.

Dear Sir,

Freedom of choice, is that the freedom to kill your child? I am sure we all agree to freedom of choice, and if you want to kill your child do it, but just do not expect me to pay for it, that is all I ask.

Health care, we have better health care for the uninsured than 90 percent of the world, and our foreign policy should not be about what others want us to do, that is what got us in to this mess to begin with.

At the end of WWI we agreed to divide up the world based on what the French and English wanted, and now we have the mess that the middle east has become.

We need to stay out of the world issues, and everybody would be better off, Irag is not a country it is something that the English drew in the desert to control the oil.

Lets think about the issue is Mr Obama ready to be president with a rubber stamp Congress, and the answer is no.

That is really the issue,

God Bless You

Not one person has ever pointed this out. Ever. Not one person has ever laid out any evidence, except saying "the media and the DNC conspired to give the election to Obama." That's it. That's the sum total of their evidence. No links to articles/reports written. No testimonials from anyone. Essentially, no facts whatsoever. So if that's "pointing it out" to someone, I'd hate to se what specualtion is.

That's easy. . . .They are racist fools
by TJoad

I agree with your assessment that it "defies sanity and logic" for any Democratic Hillary supporter to vote for McCain and thus allow the Repugnants to remain in power and continue to rip the guts out of this nation and defile the nation's soul. Since this is irrational, the simplest, most obvious explanation is that they are motivated by racist fears. While for most of these PUMAs it is probably much more of a latent, buried fear of a black man becoming president, this creates enough cognitive dissonance for them to act contrary to their interests.

I grew up in a split household, my mom is a Dem, my dad is a Rep. Yes they are married and love each other. I have many relatives who are very liberal (we're talking GreenPeace, Berkeley, etc) and some who are very conservative. So I get really tired of the so-called "tolerant" liberals insulting Republicans every chance they get. To them, Republicans don't just have it wrong, they are "evil", "Repugnant", "Stupid", "Liars" and those are the nice words they use. If you have to resort to insulting your opponent, you have already lost the debate. You can pick out the really ignorant conservatives (see above posts about Obama that are really tacky), but I am really saddened that so many of the liberal posters just spew absolute hatred toward Republicans. What kind of country do you want? "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." So Bush won an election because the difference in the amount of votes was smaller than the margin of error of the voting process in Florida. GET OVER IT!!!! AND QUIT HATING ALL REPUBLICANS FOR IT!!! GROW UP!!!! Everything Bush has done since then is evil in your eyes. Face the facts, most presidents would have done what he has done. Learn some history...all of the problems in the Middle East have their roots from hundreds if not thousands of years of conflicts...and the two World Wars of the last century made things worse. Iraq was a problem, the UN agreed, the UN couldn't handle them, then 9/11 happened, what then? Continue to ignore them like we did Osama Bin Laden? All you Republican-haters act like Gore or Kerry would have made better/different decisions. They would not have. Get real. The entire congress was in lockstep with Bush on Iraq until things got ugly and politicians jumped at the chance to score political points.

This nomination has been handed to Obama. Obama's candidacy rests on the fact that he won all the little caucus states that will go Republican anyway. Does any Democrat think that's a smart system? And Super Delegates? Yes, that's VERY democratic!! Liberals cry "capitalist pig!" at Republicans any chance they get, and yet they have a primary system that allows the candidate with the most cash on hand to go out and buy Super Delegates. And the problem of color is not the color of his skin. It's the color of his politics. What kind of American politician says that "taxes aren't about revenues, they're about being fair." That is straight from the Marxists mouth. Obama is Castro in Camelot's clothing.

As for me, I'm a Republican. Incidentally, I have a degree in Chemical Engineering with a good GPA, so I can't be all that stupid. No I haven't incurred any sort of brain damage since my degree, no I'm not some rich elitist (our family is middle, middle class), no I'm not evil, I'm not even repugnant, and I haven't "killed mother earth" with my degree either. I'm just an American mom who thinks we should all look out for one another on a daily basis so the government won't have to, and a voter who thinks that our country is a more preferable place to all the rest in the world. And I love my Democrat Mom and relatives! So stop hating. If you want change, go out and change something yourself instead of waiting for a messiah politician to do it for you. If you REALLY listen to Obama, the REAL Obama, not the eloquently scripted one, he is worse than Bush. From the "57 states with one more to go" to the "bomb that was dropped on Pearl Harbor", this guy doesn't have a clue. Oh how I wish he were the real deal.

Davelias, Demcon is posing as an angry Hillary supporter. He hates the woman, and is a dedicated Republican. He's just trying to bullshit everyone. Don't take the bait like I did earlier. But I've found him out.
